Why Every Business Needs Video Content
A few weeks ago the PGP team had the opportunity to take part in Brampton’s Creative Economy Summit in various capacities as presenters and facilitators for various workshops. It really got our creative juices flowing about how to streamline our business practices and offer our clients an even more enriching experience when they work with us. It also got us thinking more extensively about all of the great ways videos can be utilized to reach audiences, deliver an impactful message and ultimately achieve your organization’s communications goals.
First thing’s first, video has the ability to reach a broader audience than just text alone. We all know people learn and absorb information in different ways. There are those who learn best from words alone and some who learn best from visual stimulation. For the most part, many businesses have the words part down, with websites and blogs filled with written content. But, they tend to neglect supplying potential audiences with visual stimuli. It will not only allows those folks who learn best from visuals to better relate to the message you’re delivering, but it also adds more impact to your words and the messages you’re attempting to send to your audiences. Thus, video is a great accompaniment to the blog posts, articles and written content you’ve already worked hard to develop, so don’t panic and get rid of it.
Video can also act as a great way to engage with your audience on a deeper level. It can put a face to your organization and increase your transparency. Whether you’re a small enterprise or a large corporation, it pays to let your customers, clients and potential audiences get an honest glimpse of who you are so they can relate to you more fully. No matter how hard you try, some of your potential clients and even current clients may never feel like they truly know who you are until they can actually put a face to the name.
These are just a few ways video can help your organization to get that compelling content you’ve worked so hard to craft out to your various audiences. Check out Social Triggers for a few more reasons why video is such an effective medium.
